Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data CX Cash collects when you use cxcash.com, why we collect it, who processes it for us and how to have it changed or deleted. In short: we hold your email address only if you give it to us, the site sets no cookies, and we don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Who is responsible for your data

CX Cash runs cxcash.com and is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to hello [at] cxcash [dot] com with any question about this policy or your data.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

When you submit the waitlist form, we store:

• your email address;
• which form you used, and the page that sent you to it (the referrer your browser passes on);
• your browser's user-agent string, which names your browser and operating system;
• a salted, one-way hash of your IP address, so we can spot repeat sign-ups without keeping the address itself.

When you request a free resource

When you ask for one of our templates or guides, we store your email address, the resource you asked for, the page you asked from, when we emailed you the download link, and whether and when you downloaded the file. The link is personal to you.

When you browse the site

We count visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves. It sets no cookies and doesn't store your IP address. For each page view it records the page address (without any query string), the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address. To count unique visitors it derives an anonymous identifier from your IP address and browser, which changes every month.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and loading times without cookies and without following you across other websites.

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and the details of each request in order to deliver and protect the site. We also use your IP address briefly to limit how often a form can be submitted. Apart from the hash kept with a waitlist sign-up, we don't store it.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up.

Why we use it

• To send what you asked for. We email you the resources you request and tell waitlist members when CX Cash launches. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us.
• To keep the list clean. We may check a sign-up address against CleanTalk's database of known spam addresses, so we don't keep or email addresses that were entered by bots. This is in our legitimate interest.
• To improve the site. Analytics show us which pages people read and which they leave, so we know what to fix. This is in our legitimate interest, and it builds no profile of you.
• To keep the site secure. Rate limits and the details above help us stop abuse of our forms. This is also in our legitimate interest.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare hosts the site and the database that holds the waitlist, and runs the form rate limits and Cloudflare Web Analytics.
• Resend sends the emails that carry your free resources.
• CleanTalk checks sign-up addresses against its spam database.
• PlanetScale hosts the database behind our self-hosted Umami analytics.

Each provider handles the data only to deliver its service to us. We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, those transfers are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist and resource records stay until you ask us to delete them or we close the waitlist. When you unsubscribe, we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so that we don't email you again; ask us and we'll delete it completely.
• Analytics records contain no names, email addresses or IP addresses. We keep them while they help us compare traffic over time.
• Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct it if it's wrong;
• delete it;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interest;
• send it to you in a portable format.

Email hello [at] cxcash [dot] com and we'll answer within one month. If you think we've mishandled your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Cookies

The public pages of cxcash.com set no cookies and store nothing in your browser to track you, which is why there's no cookie banner. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't contact a font service.

Children

cxcash.com is written for founders, finance teams and investors. It isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects data you've already given us, we'll tell you by email before it applies.
